The Hermann Denkmal Monument, Externsteine, and Adlerwarte are all within a radius of 30 km and are interesting places to visit. Detmold and Höxter are attractive towns with many traditional half-timbered houses. The Bad Pyrmont spa resort has Europes most beautiful palm garden and is well worth a visit.
