The largest log cabin restaurant in the world is in the grounds. There are two modern bowling alleys, table football, billiards and a children's playground. The Hexentanzplatze (Witches dancing place) in Thale is six kilometres away. You can reach the Auer Mountain in Stolberg and the historic towns of Wernigerode and Quedlinburg in less than half an hour by car. These all make interesting day trips.
