Description:
The residence "Schwarzwaldhäuser" in Schönwald in the Black Forest disposes of a few well equipped holiday homes. You will stay in a holiday home (approx. 78 m) divided over two floors. The residence has many facilities like an indoor swimming pool (14 x 7 m) with showers and 1 "Schwarzwald-sauna" and there is enough parking space for your car. The residence is in leafy surroundings, opposite a 9 holes golf course and tennis court and you are in Schönwald in 5 minutes.
Schönwald (2300 inhabitants) is located on a sunny plateau at 950 1050 m altitude and is the ideal holiday destination for nature lovers. Walking, Nordic walking, ski, langlauf and mountain biking in one of the many beautiful valleys belong to the many possibilities to enjoy nature.
The region offers extensive leisure facilities. You could for example visit the Bodensee with the flower island of Mainau, the waterfalls of Schaffhausen, the Titisee, Freiburg, the most loved university town in Germany, Colmar and Strasbourg in the enchanting French Alsace, Feldberg in the Black Forest (1600 m), Hexenloch and Glottertal, known from the popular TV series "Schwarzwaldklinik". In short, more than enough possibilities to enjoy a great holiday in the Black Forest !

mountain biking:
easy up to quite challanging bike routes throughout the Black Forest on a day trip or even with an overnight stay along the way.Over 100 km well prepared country cross biking trails with excellent map-guiding is available.
Bike rental is available in Schonach, next to Schönwald.

hiking:
excellent hiking trails for everyone´s physical condition in a beautiful natural environment. Visit as many attractions as you can imagine along your way. Have a rest at one fo the most spectacular viewpoints or historic landmarks.

golf:
a 9 hole golf course waits for you right across the holiday resort to have the latest check on your handicap.

indoor pool & sauna:
enjoy the spacy indoor heated pool and the Black Forest sauna in the basement of your holiday resort.

outdoor public pool:
it´s only a 10 min. walk to the Schönwald public heated outdoor pool.

miniature golf:
just a 2 minutes stroll away of the public pool the miniature golf course will be opened during the summertime.

highrobes:
ready for the big kick of your life time? Just an hour walking distance, close to the Triberg waterfalls (10 min. by car or an hour walking) you will find the most exciting
highrobe course for starters as well as professionals.

natural climbing:
about 1 hour to walk you will have phantastic climbing conditions on medival huge rocks in the middle of the woods.(Günterfelsen)

viewpoint "Brend" or "Stöcklewaldturm":
on your hikingtrail you should focus either one of the two
viewtowers with spectacular great views overlooking the Black Forest. If the weather is clear you might see the breathtaking Swiss and Bavarian Alps-scenery.Both towers are managed by restaurants in order to let you have a good rest.

Triberg waterfalls:
Germany´s highest waterfalls should definitevely be on your hiking agenda. Just an hour walking from your appartment you´ll discover the impressive natural highlight.
Further down in Triberg lots of restaurants and shops make sure that you will have a good rest after visiting the water falls.

Summer Downhill sliding:
Close to Hausach pure excitement for kids and adults will be available on the Black Forest well known down hill sliding tour. (ca. 30 min by car)

Fun Park "Rust":
That´s the place where the southern part of Germany gathers for the real fun for the entire family. It´s a huge amusement park, just 1 hour drive up north. closed during the winter.

Various sight seeing attractions, larger cities:
Freiburg, Strassbourg, Colmar, Villingen-Schwenningen, Donaueschingen (the conjunction of Breg and Brigach into the Danube-River), Triberg, Lake Constance, Konstanz, Lindau, Rhine-River waterfall at Schaffhausen, Titisee and Schluchsee. Basel.

Major Black Forest peaks with spectacular views:
Feldberg, 1490 m, Belchen, Kandel, ca. 1.300 m,
Brend, 1.200 m (2 hours walking distance)

Danube spring:
along your hiking trail to the brend, only 2 min off the need Martins chapel, you will find the spring of the Danube river, the Brigach, From here this biggest river in Europe takes it´s way over 2.000 km long into the Black Sea.

Vogtbauernhof:
natural historic open air museum, a historic village of people in the medival aera, where they had lived and worked. Not only intersting to see for kids but also the adults.

Downhill sliding during the winter season:
Tribergs features a zone of about 1 km long sliding robe, which is real fun. Only about an hour walk or 10 min drive.

Country cross skiing:
Schönwald has matured to the regional country cross professional training center. No wonder that you can participate of the nicest country cross network-slopes.
Regardless if starter or high professional you´ll find
over 100 km well prepared cross-trails. Watch out the most spectacular points of views along the way..

Downhill skiing:
within walking distance down hill skiing area with lift business as well as a snowboard halfpipe is featured.
Skiing instruction courses are available.
