Take a trip to Bodiam Castle - by ex-Royal Navy lifeboat from Newenden leaving from the bridge by the village green, or hire a rowing boat! Tenterden with its great range of shops, restaurants and famous Chapel Down Vineyard are only six miles away and Rye only a short drive. Set in a three acre smallholding means you can also experience real country life helping the owner with the rare breed Herdwick and Jacob sheep, chickens, turkeys, quail, geese and in the spring, weaner pigs - so - the welcome pack is really made up of local produce!
