This is an ideally situated cottage in Hay-on-Wye, the "Town of Books" and dates back to the 1780's. Just across the road from the cottage is The Swan Hotel and The Pear Tree restaurant and nearby is the famous Cinema bookshop - the largest second hand bookshop in the whole country. So everything is on the doorstep for a most enjoyable visit to this small market town. The road leading to the Gospel Pass, and beautiful and historic Llantony Abbey and the Valley is just a couple of minutes away. The River Wye is at the other of this small town with lovely walks and picnic places along its bank. This is the perfect small cottage for Hay Festival. The owners have a farm near Hay and visitors on discussion with the owners are welcome to walk or watch the wildlife on the farm which has several acres of natural meadows and a great deal of wildlife and natural fauna and flora.

Grade8.0Reviews1Name :Mr Peter BrackeDate :2010-08-03Een leuk huis met een eenvoudige inrichting en een mooie tuin. 's Morgens is het verkeer een beetje rumoerig. De omgeving is erg fraai en afwisselend en er zijn heel mooie wandelroutes. Voor grotere plaatsen moet je minstens een half uur rijden maar het dorp en de omgeving bieden alle nodige faciliteiten zoals pubs en restaurants, een slager, een groentewinkel en een supermarkt die bijna altijd open.....
