Goose Cottage is situated on a small private estate with the meandering River Senni enclosing the grounds on three sides; visitors are welcome to fish or swim in the river where there is a wealth of wild life with Red Kite and Buzzards overhead and otters and brown trout in the river and sheep grazing peacefully in the meadows.
Within a mile of the villages of Sennybridge and Defynnog with the pleasant pubs and restaurants and weekly cattle market.
