Description:
Traditional holiday home located in the village of Mavrikiano, overlooking Elounda at only a 15 minute walk from the beach. This rustical holiday home offers an authentic atmosphere due to the stone walls and for example the stone staircase to the upper floor. The house has been renovated with care and nowadays forms a holiday home for a special vacation in Greece. There is a terrace on the first floor overlooking the sea and towns nearby, it is the ideal place to relax or read. This terrace also is equipped with a summer kitchen and dining area, so you will be able to enjoy lovely dinners in the open air with beautiful views and sunsets.
The sandy beach and the town of Elounda are located at a 15 minute walk (ca. 500 meters). Since Elounda is situated at the bottom of the Gulf of Mirabello it offers a unique seaside with sandy and rocky beaches and nature full of almond, carube and olive trees. From Elounda you can also go on a boat excursion to the beautiful island of Spinalonga with the impressive Venetian fort. For those who like walking, there are many possibilities and you will enjoy the walk along the seaside from Elounda to Placa of ca. 5km. Archaeological remains can be found at the Minoan city of Gournia (ca. 30km) the only excavated Minoan city or the third Minoan Palace of Malia (ca. 35km). There are also orthodox monasteries worth visiting for example in Areti, Kritsa and Toplou. The Iraklion International Airport is located at ca. 75km.

On request you can stay in the holiday home with 3 adults and one child; the sofa in the living room will convert to a child-sized single bed.
