Tips Owner

It's possible to visit the many romantic towns of Lago di Garda, among which are Garda, Bardolino, Lazise, Peschiera del Garda, Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Padenghe sul Garda, Toscolano, Maderno, Gargnano, Tremosine, Limone sul Garda and Riva del Garda. The fervent activity in these towns generates a series of festivals, exhibitions, parties and events in general, which attract tourists throughout the year and travellers from both Italy and abroad, and makes Garda Lake an endless resource for lovers of art and culture. Ideal departure point for the discovery of not only the Garda region, but also of the nearby cities of Verona, Brescia and Mantova, just to name a few, all rich in history and prehistoric art which today are an invaluable inheritance meriting attention. Allow yourselves to be fascinated and amazed by the monuments, squares, buildings, museums, magical historical centres, churches, all of which have made Lombardia, Veneto and Trentino so world famous. Garda Lake, with its typical products such as wine and olive oil, has consolidated an important gastronomic tradition that is appreciated worldwide. The region offers the possibility to visit vineyards and farms and to follow the famous Strada dei Vini (Wine Route) and Sapori del Garda (Flavours of Garda Route) to the discovery of famous tastes and perfumes enchanting even the most refined palettes. There are also numerous wine demonstrations and festivals which take place throughout the year in the Garda region. the house owner is happy to provide their sport-loving guests with any information regarding the multiple activities which can be enjoyed in Torri del Benaco and in the Garda area. This area constitutes a true open-aired gym. The Torbole-Malcesine-Limone triangle is, for example, well known as a European paradise for lovers of windsurfing and sailing. The numerous pathways and cow paths which run through the entire area are ideal for practicing sports such as trekking, nordic walking, mountain biking, motocross and alpinism; the area also has numerous stables which makes Garda Lake an excellent destination for lovers of horse-riding. There are many sport centres and clubs in the Benaco area which take advantage of the mild climate making it possible to enjoy activities throughout the year such as football, tennis, golf (Golf Club Ca' degli Ulivi at Marciaga is not far from the residence). The depths of Garda Lake hide authentic treasures such as old galleys from the era of Venetian rule and also transport and war boats, which can be explored underwater by lovers of scuba diving. Garda Lake, thanks to the large influence of Italian visitors and foreigners, has seen the rise of numerous thermal spring parks, which range from pure amusement to health & wellbeing and contact with nature: Gardaland (Castelnuovo del Garda), Canevaworld Resort (Lazise sul Garda) inside which one finds Movieland Studios and Aqua Paradise Park, Parco Aquatico Cavour (Valeggio sul Mincio), Parco Natura Viva (Bussolengo), Pico Verde (Custoza), Acquapark Altomincio (Salionze sul Mincio), Parco Giardino Sigurtà (Valeggio sul Mincio), Park Jungle Adventure (San Zeno di Montagna). The region’s presence of thermal springs and the influx of interested visitors have generated the natural development of both thermal spring and health centres on the shores of Garda Lake. La Corte dei Limoni Apartments is in a convenient position to reach the famous terme di Sirmione or the Parco Termale del Garda at Colà di Lazise. Lastly, there are also many options for the young and the nightlife. At sundown, start by enjoying a delicious aperitif in the bars along the lake boulevards, follow this by sampling the local specialities for dinner in one of the many restaurants or taverns which have made the area famous for its gastronomic tradition. Then move on to one of the numerous pubs and winebars which stay open until about 2 in the morning, and finally, end your night in a discoteque (the Garda region has some of the best discos in Italy) open until 4-5 in the morning and with ample outdoor space during the summer season
