Description:
Between the beautiful, peaceful hills of Axarquia, only 14km inland from the lively Torre del Mar, you will find the beautiful "Villa Aventurero". The detached, ground floor villa with heated private salt water pool stands on a 5.550m own property of which approx. 1000m is flat terrain. The villa has a unique location with a splendid view over the lake and the valley of La Viñuela and the mountains of Sierra Tejeda.

With clear weather, you can see the Sierra de Alhama-mountain chains in the distance. One of the biggest mountain tops, "La Maroma" (2014m) are decorated eery morning with a thin layer of snow; a magnificent sight!

Vineyards and almond trees encircle the splendid villa with its classical, Moorish outward. At the bottom of the hill, growing along a small stream are pomegranade trees. The centuries old olive tree gives a wonderful shady place, which you can enjoy on the hottest of days. Even from the sun terrace, you have a beautiful view over the surrounding. The private swimming pool offers cooling in the summer and relaxation in the winter with heated water and is allied by a tiled path with the terrace, to be wheelchair friendly.

The big terrace (75m2) is covered with a pergola and is equipped with a brick BBQ. Then on the terrace and at the swimming pool are luxury sitting and reclining chairs. The terrain offers parking opportunities for three cars. The garden and swimming pool is not equipped with a railing. The house is therefore not suitable for families with children. Steep unpaved access road of about 1 km.

Due to the peaceful location of the villa you can feel completely free, on all sides there is view and space; you will escape the everyday pressure.

Sight seeing

The old farmers village Los Romanes (2.5 km) has kept all its charm and loveliness. You will find the antique olive oil factory with old implements, two pilgrimage chapels of the holy Milagrosa and of the Mother of Sorrows.
In Los Romanes and the village Puente de Salia (9,0 km) are various supermarkets and restaurants. At short distance (0.8 km) from Villa Aventurero you will find a Hindustani restaurant.

Also Alcaucin (14,0 km) is visiting worthwhile. It is as if the time in this village has stood still. The authentically old houses stick to the steep mountain wall and the narrow streets are leading to a sunny village centre with clear water source from which he villagers still collect water. The village square has cheerful restaurants and terraces.

The town Velez-Malaga (18,0 km) is a typical Andalusia town with narrow streets, passage ways and squares. It has a beautiful promenade with centuries old plane trees and big fountains. There are many little shops and outside town there are big supermarkets which offer almost everything you want.

Alongside the coast you will find Torre del Mar (22,0 km) with numerous terraces and restaurants and a busy nightlife. The boulevard of Torre del Mar has a wonderful park of 4.5 km length. A railway track from Velez-Malaga to the beach of Torre del Mar is currently under construction. This track will lead through a wonderful recreational park.

We also advise you a coastal tour to the medieval fishing village Nerja (41,0 km), the most beautiful coast village. Because the boulevard leads as a balcony into the sea, it is called The Balcony of Europe. The village centre is for pedestrians only. You can easily park your car in the parking garage nearby the boulevard.
You will also find the famous caves of Nerja which are used as a theatre where many well known musicals and festivals have taken place.

During the summer you can make the most adventurous mountain hikes passing the white Moresque villages. When the sky is clear you can see the coast of Morocco.

Malaga (51,0 km) is a big city with an international air- and seaport. It is a wonderful city for shopping and it has many beautiful fashion shops and boutiques which can be compared to other big cities like Amsterdam.

In Torre del Mar is a water park and just outside the village is a Go Carting.

In the village Periana (18,0 km) at the other side of the reservoir of La Viñuela, small boats, canoes and mountain bikes are for rent.
There are paths around the lake of La Viñuela for bikers and pedestrians which lead to nice places and small beaches and picnic areas with wonderful views.

In the nature park of Sierra Tejeda it is possible to go on a walk or do horse back riding in the mountains. There are picnic areas with nice views and places to spot birds.

At sea there are possibilities for sailing, wind- and kite surfing as well as fishing.
