In summer as well as in winter, Mühlbach am Hochkönig, part of the Unesco Geopark "Erz der Alpen", is an ideal starting point for your vacation! There are many opportunities for mountain bikers, golfers, hikers, glacier skiers, paragliders and those seeking peace and quiet in the immediate area. In winter you can reach the slopes of the Hochkönig ski area in just a few minutes by car, a ski area with guaranteed snow and more than 120 km of slopes as well as numerous picturesque mountain huts. The family and small ski areas Hinterreit and Hochkeil also offer special charm. There are plenty of shops for your daily needs right in town as well as a good selection of restaurants. The state capital Salzburg can be reached in about 1 hour by car.
