La Fermette is an idyllic country house on the La Borderie estate that will make you realise what the good life is all about. Ideal for families and groups, the house exudes cosiness while the spaces and possibilities are grand.
Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil is a municipality in the Dordogne region known as the World Capital of Prehistory. It is located in the heart of the Vézère Valley, which is rich in archaeological sites and caves decorated with prehistoric art. The famous Lascaux cave is a short drive away and Les Eyzies is home to charming streets, traditional houses and several museums dedicated to prehistory. It is also a popular destination for hikers and canoeists due to its picturesque landscapes and the Vézère River that flows through the town.
The living room is about 70 m² and features a huge fireplace and even a grand piano. The house sleeps eight and for two there is a small but comfortable and complete Maison d'Amie with bedroom and bathroom in the garden.
The estate is used for hunting on Sundays in the off-season.

Tips Owner
On Tuesday and Saturday there is a market in Le Bugue (11 km), there is a very good fresh fish stall. Sarlat (30 km) is a very beautiful town and has on Saturday market in the old town. In the summer season there are nocturne's in many villages ' marche ' where you can eat something on long tables, sometimes with stalls selling local produce. Caves, castles, canoeing etc. There are too many to mention at the local tourist office will get good explanations and there is something for everyone. Restaurant: Auberge Jolie (near), traditional cuisine. Restaurant: Le Chateau (campaign, 6 km), good quality Restaurant: Chateaubriand (Les Eyzies, 8 km), very good lunch menu for approx. € 12.50

Date of stay: July 2023We hebben met een grote G genoten van ons verblijf op la Borderie. De ontvangst van beheerders Tom en Imke was hartelijk. Op het domein stond rust troef, de lavendeltuin met vijver (en kikkers) was romantisch, het uitzicht over de vallei fenomenaal, het huis en bijbouw sprookjesachtig met binnen de nodige comfort,... Wij keren zeker nog terug om de Dordognestreek verder te ontdekken.

Date of stay: July 2019Guter Empfang durch die Verwalter. DasHaus ist sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, es gibt nur Wald um das Haus herum.

Date of stay: September 2018Vanaf de hoofdweg is er een lange mooie bosweg naar het huis. We werden ontvangen met koffie bij het zwembad. Het huis is geweldig en het uitzicht overweldigend. De rust valt als een warme deken over je heen.

Date of stay: June 2018Wij hebben twee heerlijke weken gehad op La Borderie in het huis le Fermette. We zijn erg vriendelijk ontvangen door de beheerders die gewoon Nederlands spreken. Je kunt altijd met vragen bij ze terecht en verder laten ze je vooral van je privacy genieten. Het huis straalde een fijne sfeer uit. We hebben dankbaar gebruik gemaakt van het fijne zwembad waar stoelen, ligbedden en kussens aanwezig zijn. We waren er met zijn tweeën en onze hond, maar door de vele knusse hoekjes viel de grootte van het huis erg mee. Het huis was erg compleet, we hebben niets gemist. Buiten was het echt genieten. Zo'n heerlijke rust! Je hoort geen verkeer en het uitzicht is prachtig... de tuin stond vol bloemen en overal potten met geraniums. Je loopt vanaf La Borderie zo het bos in waar we op een avond herten en wilde zwijnen gespot hebben gespot. Binnen een half uur rijden zijn er al veel bezienswaardigheden zoals kastelen, tuinen, grotten en leuke plaatjes waar elke week markt is. De hond heeft twee weken heerlijk los kunnen lopen en heeft net als ons genoten van de vrijheid en de natuur. Onze hele ervaring is eigenlijk samen te vatten in één zin... daar waar je het geluid van de stilte nog kunt horen

Date of stay: August 2016 - September 2016Ein wunderbar einsam gelegenes Haus, un dennoch ist man im Herzen des schwarzen Perigord, so dass alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar sind. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll und rustikal, es ist alles vor Ort, was man benötigt, auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Für alle Probleme ist das sehr diskrete und sehr freundliche Vwerwalterehepaar jeder Zeit zur Stelle. Wir können das Haus nur sehr empfehlen und kommen auch sehr gern wieder. Dazu kommt noch der riesige (eingezäunte) Swimmingpool, die wunderbare Aussicht von der Terasse. Auch für Kinder perfekt ausgestattet mit Spielmöglichkeiten.
