In a 60 km radius around the Domain, and cut between three departments (Dordogne, Corrèze and Haute-Vienne), come and discover this diverse region. The cultural heritage and the regional architecture have a lot to offer. Visit the prehistoric caves of the Vézère valley (le couloir de la préhistoire) and of course the caves of Tourtoirac, Villars or Lascaux. Admire the numerous castles in the vicinity of the Domain, such as Hautefort, Pompadour, Ségur le Château, or Beynac and Castelnaud in the valley of the Dordogne. Visit also cultural cities such as Périgueux, Sarlat, Brantôme, Limoges… And of course you can visit the museums, the churches, parks and gardens and the picturesque villages or take a canoe trip on one of the many rivers. The countryside is most beautiful in the valley of the Auvézère, the gorges de la Vézère and in the natural park of the Périgord Limousin. Discover the gastronomic secrets of the region and taste the fois gras, the truffles, the jams, the regional wines and numerous other regional specialties…

Aankomst prima, dame bij de receptie sprak Frans en Engels en was erg behulpzaam. Domein en woningen mooi onderhouden. De vakantiewoning was fantastisch, (kleine kanttekening de douche op de parterre is rolstoelvriendelijk, maar verder is de woning/tuin niet rolstoelvriendelijk). Het eten en de beperkte dagen dat het restaurant open was viel wel wat tegen (personeel/eigenaren zijn Nederlandstalig), maar de keuken in de woning is dusdanig goed ingericht dat je prima thuis kunt eten. Het zwembad is zalig, heerlijk verwarmd water en wordt regelmatig onderhouden. De broodjesservice is erg gemakkelijk als je daar gebruik van wilt maken, je kunt de broodjes voor een hele week bestellen of de dag ervoor bij de receptie en ze de volgende ochtend daar ophalen.

Wij hebben een mooie week beleefd met de familie (5 volwassenen en 3 kinderen). De kinderen hebben pony gereden, we hebben twee keer golfles genomen bij de golfbaan op het terrein en verder lekker genoten van de villa en het zwembad.
