The house is fully furnished and well equipped. There is a cooker, coffee maker, and a mini-oven. Outside there is a lovely terrace where you can barbecue. There is a camping cot along with a parasol where you can rest. There is a heating facility to keep its guests warm. Free parking is available for guests.

7 km from Objat, where you can visit a large cosy market every Sunday morning There is also a recreation opportunity In Objat, with pedal boats, swimming pool with slide, canoeing etc. 20 km from Pompadour (horses competition). A day shopping in Brive (23 km) and Perigeux (70 km). Limoges (80 km) is known for its porcelain factories, which you can visit.

Date of stay: September 2017La Porcherie is een fijn, klein dorpje (10 huizen) bovenin de heuvels. Uitermate rustig en ideaal om aan de drukte te ontsnappen. Binnen enkele minuten ben je in een aantal grotere dorpen/steden dus daaraan geen gebrek. We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen (uitsluitend in het Frans, maar dat mag geen verrassing zijn) en we kregen direct de vrijheid om onszelf rustig te settelen. Gedurende ons verblijf voelden we ons thuis en hebben we kunnen doen wat wij wilden. Het huisje zelf is perfect voor een stel, je zou een kind mee kunnen brengen. Zeer knus en sfeervol en alles is aanwezig. Absolute aanrader voor een vriendelijke prijs!

Date of stay: August 2017heel vriendelijk onthaalt, met een leuke attentie. De accommodatie was prachtig, basic maar alles was aanwezig en de omgeving fantastisch. Het was daar heel rustig waardoor je voldoende kon rusten. Je privacy werd bewaard. Indien je iets moest vragen kon dat, heel vriendelijke eigenaars.

Date of stay: August 2017Prachtige accomodatie in een klein rustig dorpje. Mooi uitzicht over het dal achter het huisje vanaf een terras met veel privacy. Het huisje zelf is prima onderhouden en goed geschikt voor twee personen. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

Date of stay: July 2016Klein oud huisje, smaakvol verbouwd. Op zeer rustige locatie met mooi uitzicht. In het dorpje staan slechts een paar huizen. De eigenaren wonen in het huis ernaast, ze zijn erg vriendelijk en laten je verder met rust.

Date of stay: June 2016we had a perfect week at La Porcherie. The house and surroundings were exactly as we hoped. The calm and quiet was so nice for a change. We enjoyed the lovely house, the nice view from the garden, the birds and the hospitality of the owner. It is the perfect spot to leave everything else behind and just relax. Thanks to Christoph for the nice welcome and help when needed. We visited some villages, Chateau Hauteford and went for dinner in Brives. We would definitely recommend this to others, and hope to come back some time!

Date of stay: May 2016Wij hebben genoten van eindeloze rust op een idyllisch plekje. Voor ons keukenraam uitzicht op een prachtige bloementuin vanaf het zitje achter het huis keken we over een uitgestrekt golvend landschap. Het huisje is klein maar praktisch ingericht. De eigenaar/familie laat je volledig met rust maar is goed aanspreekbaar mocht dat nodig zijn. Vanaf deze plek is het leuk uitstapjes maken naar hele oude dorpjes met prachtige kerkjes, beschilderde grotten, een chocoladefabriek enz. Het was fijn wandelen door het cultuurlandschap, voor fietsen aldaar is enige conditie een vereiste! Wij kijken terug op een aangenaam verblijf!
