Tips Owner

Attractions: You are in the Perigord Vert Region so named because of the greenery of the forests and meadows. Thiviers is known as the capital of Foie Gras, a delicious speciality of the region and not to be missed. A Regional highlight is the beautiful town of Brantome (27km) and its Benedictine abbey, built by Charlemagne in 769. Here you can hire a canoe (book in advance) and enjoy this lovely stretch of the river. There is a busy outdoor market on Fridays. Near to Brantome is the "most beautiful village" of St-Jean-de Cole and also the attractive village of Bourdeilles. Nearby Chateaux include the Chateau de Jumilhac, the Chateau de Bourdeilles, and Chateau de Puyguilhem. On the outskirts of Perigueux at Trélissac (29km) there are Hypermarkets (eg. LeClerc) and shopping precincts. Then there is Perigueux itself, with its large stores and boutiques and not forgetting the delightful old town with it's beautiful cathedral. A little further, 75km, is the amazing village of Aubeterre sur Dronne which has a church hewn out of rock (excavations began in the fifth century) and is counted amongst the "most beautiful villages" in France. Restaurants: numerous available in Thiviers and surrounding villages, good quality and prices

Een zeer ruim huis met alle faciliteiten. Vooral de rust is zeer aangenaam, het ligt in een zijbaantje waar amper auto's komen. Toch ben je op 3 minuten in een supermarkt en op 5 minuten in een goed restaurant.

met 225 euro schoonmaakkosten verwacht je toch wel een heel schoon huis. Helaas was dit niet het geval. De keuken was niet schoon. Bij aankomst eerst zelf goed schoon moeten maken, waaronder veel serviesgoed. Ook veel spullen van eerdere huurders (of van eigenaar?) zoals aangebroken flessen olijfolie, kruiden, thee e.d. Tevens in het vriesgedeelte van de koelkast nog levensmiddelen van anderen. De ramen van het huis waren vies en tuin slecht onderhouden. Tuinmeubilair was niet schoon en bijna allemaal stuk. Glijbaan stuk en afdak schuurtje ingestort. Onder de trampoline leek wel een plek om afval te dumpen (doeken, planken e.d.). Wij hebben vaker huizen gehuurd via Belvilla en nooit eerder klachten gehad. Erg jammer, aangezien we daar waren om samen met onze kinderen ons 30 jarig huwelijk te vieren.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Het huis is zeer rustig gelegen en heeft een mooie ruime tuin met zwembad, petanquebaan en terras.

Een prachtig huis met alle voorzieningen. De eekhoorntjes liepen op het terras. Heerlijk rustig en naast de bosrand. Om een wandeling te maken kun je gelijk het graspad naast het huis pakken om een heerlijke wandeling te maken. Om daarna weer heerlijk een duik te nemen in het zwembad.
