Stylish detached villa with private swimming pool. The house is located 5 km from the beach, on the north coast of Crete in the village of Loutra. In the vicinity of this property are a number of holiday homes situated. This comfortable villa is stylishly furnished and fully equipped. The pool and garden offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy the Greek climate and sunbathing or relaxing. From the roof terrace there is a magnificent view towards the sea, Cretan landscape with trees and mountains. In the immediate vicinity is a shepherd, olive groves and vineyards. The pool is maintained and regularly cleaned. Furthermore, the pump on timer that the water is filtered. In the house there is satellite TV and radio channels with Dutch (Netherlands 1/2/3, RTL 4, etc.) there are also German channels available. There is a playstation 2 and Blu-ray DVD player. The house has air conditioning in the living / dining room and both bedrooms. The windows and patio doors in the living / dining room have mosquito nets. Throughout the house, all windows and doors with shutters (except the front door). At 10km is the lively town of Rethymnon with a long promenade with cafes, bars and a beautiful old harbor, where the most delicious fish can be eaten. There are organized beaches with a coastline of more than 20 km long, east and west direction. The holiday is also a good starting point to discover. Super schone en mooie villa! Wij hebben een topvakantie gehad!

Villa Pelagia is een aanrader voor wie Kreta wil bezoeken. Zelf hebben we van hieruit het Arkadi-klooster bezocht (+/- 10 km) en Rethymnon ... maar reden we ook iets verder naar Ghania (zeer mooi) en Kissamos (voor boottocht en bezoek aan Gramvousa en Balos-beach) .... en liepen zowel de Imbros als de Samaria-kloof door (Imbros is mooi, Samaria is nog mooier (wel druk)), Kournas Lake. Met het mooie weer zorgde zwembad voor aangename verfrissing. In de villa is alles aanwezig (airco, ruime koelkast,...) en goede bedden. Comfortabele villa. Goed onderhouden. Rustig gelegen (er zijn wel dierengeluiden in de verte ... schapen, honden ... maar dat stoorde ons niet) maar toch dichtbij centra zoals Rethymnon. Voldoende eetgelegenheden in de buurt (enkele minuutjes rijden).

Wij hadden een hele fijne week in het zonnige Kreta. Villa Pelagia is kraaknet, gezellig ingericht en van alles voorzien (airco, ruime koelkast met vriesvak, barbecue, ligzetels,...) Er is een terras in de schaduw waar je steeds gezellig buiten kan eten en een dakterras in de zon. Het zwembad is niet heel groot, maar volstaat ruim om verkoeling te zoeken en wordt goed onderhouden. Je hebt sowieso een huurauto nodig om naar de woning te geraken, boodschappen te doen, uitstappen te maken,... Wij hebben (ondanks de uitgebreide, nuttige aanreisinformatie die we via mail ontvingen van de eigenaars) toch nog even moeten zoeken om de woning te vinden (lijkt ons geen aanrader om in het donker te arriveren) Het enige minpunt was het lawaai van de vlakbij gelegen geitenboerderij 's morgensvroeg vertrekt de eigenaar met zijn kudde waardoor de nachtrust van minder vaste slapers wordt onderbroken. Dit nadeel woog voor ons echter niet op tegen alle voordelen die deze villa te bieden heeft.
