Detached holiday home with private swimming pool, located at the North-West coast of the island of Crete. The home is situated outside the village of Agia Triada and the location offers beautiful panoramic views over the surroundings. This charming holiday home with stone walls and archways is a good solution for a family with kids or different couples since it offers three bedrooms.
The main bedroom has a Coco-Mat mattress. Outside you can enjoy the climate by making use of your of your private swimming pool and barbecue area. At the terrace you can enjoy long summer evenings.
The nearest beach can be found at 5km, only 8 minutes by car. The house is situated at ca. 12km from the lively town of Rethymon. The town has a long boulevard with modern cafes and bars. You can enjoy the most delicious fish and seafood at the beautiful old harbour. Rethymnon has supervised beaches with a coast line of more than 20 km stretching east and west. This holiday home is also a good starting point to discover the beautiful island of Crete.

On these excursions you have the chance to swim to the most beautiful beaches of Greece, to see the gorges of South Crete, to see the rare Kri Kri (Cretan goats) and the unique wild nature of Crete. Please ask us for more information. Rethymno is an ideal town for bicycles because combines rarely united features the old town's charm and history, with proximity to a long sandy beach. With your bicycle you can visit in few minutes the Fortezza (fortress) which was built by the Venetians, the Archaeological museum at the entrance to the fortress, the Venetian Loggia which is dating back to the 16th century, the folkloreand history museum, the main minaret (Neratze mosque), the Rimondi fountain and also to buy fresh products from ''Laiki" (the local market). In the old town of Rethymno you will find everything from traditional bakeries, cafes, taverns and also a variety of shops in the street of Arkadiou, Souliou and Ethnikis Antistasis. It is a great advantage to rent a bicycle and after roaming in the small streets of Rethymno to be in the long beach in just few minutes! For our guests we rent special bicycles in a special price. Please ask us for more information. More details about the property: Swimmingpool can be heated in the months March, April, May and October. Extra costs € 35,-- per day. If one wishes to have the pool heated, this will be for the complete lenght of the stay. The pool can not be heated for only a couple of days. If guests do like to have this option, please let us know at least 30 days before arrival, in order to be able to prepare this. The villa can be heated by central heating in the months of March, April and October at extra costs. In case you would like this, please inquire for these costs and indicate that you would like this at least 30 days before your arrival. Date of stay: August 2015 - September 2015In dit prachtige huis met uitzicht over de valei en zee en lekker zwembad hebben we vooral genoten van de rust. De keuken is volledig ingericht en heeft een grote koelkast en vriezer. Wij hebben er de heerlijkste gerechten bereid en gegeten op de veranda met uitzicht. Voor boodschappen of uit eten moet je de auto pakken, maar je kunt bij de verhuurder ook een kok inhuren. Het huis is modern ingericht, het is goed schoon, twee keer per week komt er iemand voor onderhoud van het zwembad en voor de schoonmaak. Wifi deed het prima, de tv hebben we niet gebruikt.

Date of stay: October 2013We zaten met z'n vieren (2 stellen) in Villa Ikaros. 2 badkamers, twee toiletten, zwembad en een heerlijk terras. We hadden het geluk dat we in de herfstvakantie, 2/3 week van oktober 2013, de hele week ruim 27 graden cadeau kregen. Uitstapjes naar Spinalonga, een kloofwandeling (Ibaros), Chania en Rethymno waren alleszins de moeite waard. "Uit eten" is goed betaalbaar, Mythos een acceptabel biertje en de plaatselijke wijn is ook best te drinken. Voor ons vieren is de uiteindelijke beoordeling een dikke negen waard !!

Date of stay: September 2012Villa Ikaros in Adele vlakbij Arkadi is echt een aanrader. We hebben zowel genoten van de fantastische villa zelf met vooral het zwembad, de open haard, de buitenbarbeque en de verschillende zonneterrassen. Maar we genoten ook van het heerlijke weer eind september en van het goede eten in de nabijgelegen restaurantjes. Bovendien is villa Ikaros redelijk centraal gelegen en biedt een goed uitgangspunt om allerlei uitstapjes te maken naar historische en culturele bezienswaardigheden. En om rond te rijden door of te wandelen in het bergachtige landschap en te flaneren langs de prachtige baaien met de schilderachtige vissersstadjes en te vertoeven op de (in deze tijd rustige) stranden. Echt heerlijk was het.

Date of stay: July 2011 - August 2011Villa Ikaros is een heerlijk huis in de heuvels van het achterland van Rethymnon. Omdat het zo hoog ligt, heb je prachtig uitzicht over zee en de wijde omgeving. Huis en tuin/terras met zwembad worden heel goed onderhouden door de eigenaar. Er is wel veel wind rond het huis i.v.m. de ligging. Het is een prima uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan het eiland Kreta. Bij het huis is het heerlijk rustig, maar in slechts 10 autominuten ben je al bij een gezellige straat met volop winkels en restaurants. Een auto is absoluut noodzakelijk. De weg naar boven is wel voor ervaren chauffeurs. Het is erg stijl en je hebt een auto met een krachtige motor nodig om je naar boven te trekken. Wij hebben hier een heerlijke vakantie doorgebracht, een aanrader!
