The archaeological and nature park in Manerba del Garda is fun to visit. It is a beautiful setting with breathtaking views. You can see the remains of city walls and on a clear day you can see Sirmione. There are remains of the fort. A visit is well worth it! www.parcoroccamanerba.net The beach Porto Torchio is a lovely place for an afternoon on the beach. There are bars and restaurants and it is clean and tidy. There are opportunities to hire sun loungers and parasols. Make an excursion to the island of San Biagio. You can take a ferry from Porto Torchio to island San Biagio. The island is a large green lawn where you can relax. Gabriele D'Annunzio's villa in Gardone Riviera is very rewarding to see (www.vittoriale.it). The villa is a beautiful place and it is very nice to see a villa of a narcissistic and eccentric man. Really nice! At Avanzi (www.avanzivisite.it) you can taste great wines. Register for a tour and buy nice bottles of wine for after the holidays!

Date of stay: July 2017Na een lange rit kwamen we te laat aan. Vooraf laten weten en was geen probleem. De kok was zo vriendelijk om nog eten voor ons te maken terwijl de keuken al gesloten was. Prachtig uitzicht over het Gardameer en het apartement was prima in orde. De airco was wel heerlijk. We hebben een geweldige week gehad met diverse uitstapjes in de buurt. Er waren drie zwembaden op de camping en je hoeft er geen badmuts op. Absolute aanrader.

Date of stay: June 2015De woningen zijn schoon maar wel erg sober ingericht. Er is weinig sfeer in de woningen maar het uitzicht maakt weer veel goed. Jammer dat de balkons een kleine afscheiding hebben waardoor er geen privacy is met de buren. Mooie verzorgde zwembaden op het park en kort bij het Gardameer. Heel om bij het meer te komen moet er een obstakel van heel wat trappen worden genomen. In het weekend merk je dat het een Italiaans park is , dan komen massaal de Italianen in hun appartement en maken tot midden in de nacht veel rumoer.

Date of stay: August 2013Appartement biedt net voldoende ruimte voor 4 personen, en ligt bij camping met Italiaans en niet Italiaans deel. De zwembaden zijn heerlijk om de benodigde verkoeling te vinden. Overdag is het redelijk rustig, 's-avonds is er tot 23.00 een kinder disco.
