Description
Part of an authentic detached farmhouse, tastefully decorated in a rustic style. Inside the house you can find the calendar for separate waste collection and there is a small wooden box outside the gate where you can arrange the special containers. This is the destination for nature lovers who want a relaxing holiday alternated with visits to the city of art, Florence.
The farmhouse is located about 40 km from Florence, in a quiet and peaceful location with stunning views over the valley of Mugello.
The house has a large enclosed garden surrounded by green hills with a barbecue. A terrace is available for outside dining. Appliances include gas and electric hobs, fridge with freezer, Microwave oven, Gas oven, washing machine, dishwasher and Italian coffee machine.
You can park your car in the large garden, but please do not park on the stone-paved square. Do check all internal and external switches, turn off all appliances and lock the doors of the house and the gate.

Tips Owner
Do take the train from Borgo San Lorenzo to Florence. You'll be within 40 minutes in the center next to the Duomo. There are lovely walks around the house for you to enjoy the Tuscan countryside. Another way to experience the area is the cycletour of 5 km along the river "La Sieve. Nearby is the famous Lake Bilancino where you can enjoy swimming, sailing, waterskiing, fishing, wind surfing or simply sunbathing on the beach. And possibly an afternoon of shopping in the famous Barberino Outlet. The house owner is a painter and is occasionally working in the adjacent part of the farm. On request there is the possibility to follow a painting course in the open air for creative guests among you!

Date of stay: May 2018Mooie authentieke oude boerderij. Dikke muren stevige deuren, je waant je in een middeleeuws kasteeltje. Mooie zeer ruime tuin eromheen hellend grasland met fruitbomen, olijven, vijgen en geheel afgeschermd heel veel privacy. Een klein paradijsje waar we heerlijk tot rust gekomen zijn. Makkelijke trein verbinding naar Florence vanuit Borgo San Lorenzo. Het ideale plekje!

Date of stay: September 2017Heel goed ontvangst, uitgebreide uitleg en rondleiding. Heel grote en mooie omheinde tuin. Helaas bleken er wat gaten in de omheining te zijn, waardoor onze hond was ontsnapt en we hem heel de vakantie aan de lijn moesten houden. Het huis zelf is heel rustig gelegen, met een mooi uitzicht over Borgo San Lorenzo.

Date of stay: September 2015Een vakantiehuis van 200 jaar oud met veel karakteristieke details, niet luxe maar zeer aangenaam, keuken eenvoudig, maar niet door ons gebruikt. Wij waren vooral aangenaam verrast door het rustieke karakter en de mooie ligging. In onzeogen niet geschikt voor kinderen! Boodschappen doen kost minimaal 40 minuten, maar dat hadden wij elke dag graag over voor het halen van het ontbijt. Ligt erg afgelegen en de auto moet in goede conditie zijn. Wilt u rust dan zeker een aanrader!!

Date of stay: August 2015Fantastisch huisje voor rustliefhebbers. Mooi uitzicht maar weinig facilliteiten voor kinderen, dit moet je dus zelf verzorgen. Het zwembad in Vicchio is daarom een aanrader voor de kinderen. Het dorpsplein is een heerlijke plek om lekker lang te dineren. Neem wel voldoende zonnebrand en vooral anti muggenspray en after bite mee wanneer je in de zomerperiode boekt.

Date of stay: June 2015 - July 2015Een mooie, rustige en idyllische Toscaanse villa precies wat je verwacht. Je stapt de woonkamer binnen, ruikt de oude haard en bent in een huis uit de 19e eeuw. Buiten heerlijk kunnen zitten, genieten van het uitzicht en de gigantische tuin. Indien je voor rust met elkaar of een gezin komt, absoluut een aanrader! Angela was een goede gastvrouw die bij ontvangst goed het huis liet zien en tips gaf wat in de omgeving te doen is. Zeer hartelijk ontvangen en ook een prettig afscheid!
