Description:
The Edam Fishing Cottage is a beautifully renovated holiday home within walking distance of the idyllic town centre. You will find a large living area with an open kitchen, a living room with a dining table and comfortable bedrooms. The house is especially suitable for families. By bus or car, you can reach the centre of Amsterdam within half an hour, but there is also plenty to do in the Edam area. Hire a bike or a whisper boat around the corner and discover the beautiful surroundings. In Edam, you will find specialised shops and cosy terraces. Volendam, Marken, Hoorn and Alkmaar are also worth a visit. In the holiday home, you will find plenty of inspiration for trips and cycling routes. The freshwater IJsselmeer is within walking distance. Swim and play in the playground. There is also a children's pool for small children. The house is equipped with books, a chest full of toys, various musical instruments (recorder, ukulele, flute and mini accordion), board games and puzzles. The courtyard is sunny, spacious and equipped with comfortable chairs. Here you can end the day with a good glass of wine. Free parking is available in front of the door, and the spacious shower on the ground floor is easily accessible for the elderly. (E)-bikes can be stored and charged on the enclosed patio. Cars can be parked nearby -and usually in front of the door- free of charge. Upon arrival, the beds are made. You are kindly requested to respect the quiet atmosphere outside after 23:00.

Tips Owner:
Our authentic fishermans cottage, is situated in the old restored city centre of Edam. Completely renovated with todays luxurys but all in authentic style.
Relax in the lovely seats and dine at your table outside, in the shielded courtyard.
Within walking distance you'll find lovely shops and 8 nice restaurants, several bars and (music) cafés.
The original Edam cheese market is every Wednnesday in July and August.

"Strandbad Edam" is the natural water/swimmingpool. with a grass beach and childrens playground. Only 0.5km from the house.
"Waterdam" is a public swimmingpool with inside and outside pool. Both nice for children too. And only 0,5 km from the house.
Edam is only 20 minutes from Amsterdam and even closer from Volendam, Marken and Hoorn. All easy to travel too by public transport or your car of even by bike!
