Enjoy a vacation in this luxurious villa with private pool on the edge of the spa town of Caldas de Monchique!
With its unique location on a private estate of 5 hectares at the foot of the Monchique mountains, this villa is an oasis of tranquillity.
The large villa for 14 people is stylishly furnished, equipped with all modern comforts and surrounded by pretty gardens. The villa is surrounded by various sun and shade terraces where you can relax and unwind. From the terraces with seating, garden loungers and barbecue you have a wonderful view of the green hills. A unique feature of this villa is the spectacular black tiled pool with salt water system, which is surrounded by two adjacent ponds. Here you can take a refreshing dip and feel at one with nature as you are surrounded by frogs and fish. The pool can be heated up to 23 C for a fee available from April to October. Please let us know 3 days in advance (250,- per week). Even in cooler temperatures it is pleasant in this villa with underfloor heating and you can also warm yourself by the fireplace.
The center of the idyllic village of Caldas de Monchique, known for its healing spring water and as a health resort, is a 10-minute walk from the villa. Take a leisurely stroll to the center of Monchique (6 km) with its various stores and restaurants. The sandy beaches in the south of the Algarve are about a 20-minute drive away.For golf lovers, the nearest golf course is only 10 minutes away by car.

Date of stay: June 2023Fantastic place, the garden and the location are just marvelous. A bio-pool with two ponds for the water cleaning and many frogs, dragonflies, flowers and nature in and around those ponds, beautiful unchlorinated water, amazing natural beauty. The villa is very spacious, the only downside is the really bad lighting when its dark. Probably to save energy the owners have installed really weak LED-lights, you cannot even read when its dark, they definitely overdid the „saving“, thats a pity actually. Otherwise perfect experience, especially if you want total privacy, to unwind in your own beautiful nature-space.

Date of stay: June 2022Wir hatten die Villa für einen erweiterten Familienurlaub (8 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder, der jüngste Teilnehmer 9 Monate, der älteste 79 Jahre alt) gemietet, und für diesen Zweck erwies sich die Villa als mehr als ideal geeignet. Alle Zimmer (leider Einzelbetten, die dauernd "auseinanderstrebten") mit eigenem Bad und Toilette, so gab es diesbezüglich niemals einen "Stau". Die Villa wurde mit sehr viel Gefühl und Liebe für die Landschaft gebaut und wirkt nirgends als Fremdkörper. Die Außenanlagen wunderschön, ganz besonders der zwischen zwei Biotopen gelegene Pool. Die einzige von einigen von uns kritisierte Tatsache sind fehlende Insektengitter und keine vorhandene Klimaanlage (mich persönlich hat beides nicht gestört). Der Kontakt mit den Eigentümern war nach anfänglicher "Holprigkeit" absolut hilfreich, der mit Belvilla allerdings kaum. Ich kann das Objekt nur rückhaltlos empfehlen.

Date of stay: August 2016Wir haben uns ein kleines bisschen in unserer Privatsphäre gestört gefühlt, weil der Besitzer doch überdurchschnittlich oft vorbei kam ( er hatte immer einen Grund, hat uns zb Pfirsiche gebracht usw... ), dennoch möchte man doch im Urlaub ein bisschen Privatsphäre genießen )! Im Großen und Ganzen ist es aber ein sehr sehr schönes Haus, welches ganz alleine mitten in einem Tal gebaut wurde, umgeben von Bergen und wunderbar beplazt mit den schönsten Pflanzen.
