Dit comfortabele vakantiehuis met 1 slaapkamer ligt direct aan het Lago Maggiore, op het eiland Isola Superiore Pescatori. Dit huis bestaat uit 3 mooie appartementen met een prachtig uitzicht over het meer en de bergen. Het eiland ligt op 300 m van de oever en maakt deel uit van de archipel van de Isole Borromee. Het is het enige eiland dat permanent bewoond wordt. Het eiland heeft een klein bewoond centrum met typische huisjes. Dit is een ideaal startpunt om de omgeving te verkennen (per openbaar vervoer of met een gehuurde boot). Denk aan de verschillende eilanden op het meer en hun attracties, de villa's, de rivièra, de dorpjes, de natuur en het berggebied. De accommodatie is eenvoudig en comfortabel ingericht. Autoverkeer is hier niet toegestaan en de auto kan je parkeren in Stresa of Baveno. Van daaruit zijn er prima verbindingen via de openbare veerdienst of met de taxiboten. De vriendelijke eigenaar kan de overtocht van en naar het eiland organiseren met een motorbootdienst.

The Isola Superiore also known as the Fishermen’s Island is certainly the most characteristic of the Borromeo islands on Lago Maggiore, owes its name to the activity of its inhabitants. Approximately 300 meters of land in the middle of the lake in a marvellous frame of the Alps, the fascination of this island lies in the archaic simplicity and the rustic candour of its houses. On the narrow alleyys you will find restaurants, where to taste the local fish, bars, kiosks and the little shops.

The Island is connected to Stresa and Baveno by a regular public boat service and it is a good cross road for every kind of excursion: to reach the other islands (Bella and Madre), to visit the beautiful villas and gardens along the coast to get to the top of the mountain, also with a cableway to enjoy a marvellous view over the top of the Mottarone Mountain of 7 lakes (Maggiore, Orta, Mergozzo and 4 Lombard lakes) and the majestic Italian and Swiss Alps.
