Description

La Tour is a cave house with unique historic charm. The previous inhabitants were agricultural workers who earned extra cash mining the tuffa (a sedimentary limestone). Around the Loire you will find a number of lovely country houses and castles constructed of this natural material.


The cave house is simply furnished, but offers the necessary equipment for a pleasant stay. Experience the feeling of living in a cave house. In the summer, the home stays relatively cool. And in the winter, the large fireplace provides extra warmth and a charming atmosphere.

The cave house is located in rural surroundings. If you're lucky, you'll see a bat or an owl in the evening. The famous castles of Montrichard, Amboise and Chenonceaux are within 20 km. The Chateau of Chenonceau is located in the Loire valley and dates from 1432. What makes the castle so unique is that it is built over the water of the river de Cher and has wonderful well maintained gardens. The castle is a private property and is open year round.

Aparte,leuke grotwoning in glooiende omgeving van de Loire. Div.kastelen en kerken bezocht in div.pittoreske dorpjes. Zeer mooie dierentuin(zoo beauvall)en veel wijnboerderijen. Kortom een heerlijke plek om te zien,ook met kids!

Heerlijk rustig,het huisje in de grot is lekker cool bij zomerse temperaturen,bij minder mooi weer wel klammig,aangenaam verast door de vrouw des huize haar super lekkere appeltaart en een flesje wijn bij aankomst. Zeker een aanrader voor wie van rust en mooie omgeving houd.l

Dit is een van de meest bijzonder vakantiehuisjes die we ooit hebben gehuurd. Bijzonder vriendelijke verhuurder, die overduidelijk trots is op zijn beide grothuisjes. Ligt alleen wat ver van een stad met inkoopmogelijkheden, maar met een grote koel-vriescombi is dat niet echt een probleem; je kunt makkelijk een voorraad aanleggen. Hoewel het buiten bijna 30 graden was, is het huisje constant lekker koel. Er zijn 2 terrassen waarvan het terras boven naast de toren volledige privacy biedt. Heerlijk!
