It is part of a four-sided courtyard whose property borders directly on the small river Löcknitz, which meanders parallel to the Elbe. You only have to cross a small side street and come to the river, where you will find a meadow orchard and a nice place to sit. With its castle, which can be seen from afar, the attractive town of Lenzen is the gateway to the natural paradise of the Elbtalaue. In addition to a restaurant and a rowing boat rental, the castle also houses the center of European floodplain ecology and you can find out all the special features of your holiday region St. Catherine's Church with structures from the 13th century, remains of the city gate from the 14th century and the old city moat. Bike tours through the Elbe foothills or to the dike relocation areas near the Lenzen Elbe ferry are also possible. The idyllic Rudower See, which belongs to Lenzen, has an area of 180 hectares - great for swimming, fishing and boating. The native flora and fauna can be observed on the romantic lake hiking trail - especially in autumn, when the geese and crane migration takes place.
