On arrival, you will find a bottle of our housewine and an information booklet about the surrounding area to welcome you. The owner organizes guided wine-tasting tours with visit to the cellar and a short walk through the vineyards. On the property , just a few steps from the cellars, you can visit the ancient San Lorenzo Chapel (XIIe Century) built in the Romanesque style. There is a restaurant at 1km from the appartments right on the vineyards. Here you can eat every night and there are often special offers combined with the farmhouse. Nearby: Pieve di San Pancrazio ( beautiful little church in Romanesque style XI e C.), Borgo Luccardo ( small village composed of a group of ancient houses - possibility to make nice walks in the country. Restaurants : Excellent and payable Tuscan kitchen in San Casciano and surrounding area. You will find a list of adresses we recommend in your apartment. Children's activities : adventure park (survival) at 2 km from Castelvecchio. For all information, you can contact the staff of Castelvecchio. Activity on request: exclusive cooking classes with a small vocabulary of Italian cuisine and useful phrases: 'Learn to read an Italian menu and choose which dish you prefer to eat!'

Date of stay: September 2016Wij arriveerden ruim op tijd en dit was geen enkel probleem. Wij verbleven namelijk de week hiervoor al op een andere agriturismo in de omgeving (+/- 1 uur rijden). Door onze vakantie in tweeën te delen, hebben wij niet alleen meer van de omgeving gezien, wij kunnen nu ook een goede vergelijking maken tussen de verschillende vakantiehuisjes. Beide huisjes bevinden zich in dezelfde prijsklasse en regio. In alle eerlijkheid beviel ons eerste huisje beter. Dit kwam met name door de betere staat van de meubels en een schonere indruk. Dit huisje was helaas niet goed schoongemaakt (met name de douche en koelkast niet). Desalniettemin genoten van het prachtige uitzicht, de mooie omgeving, het verkoelende zwembad, de lekkere wijnen en het leuke contact met ons Nederlandse bovenburen. Wie erg op zijn privacy is gesteld, kan beter een ander huisje zoeken. Wie van lekkere wijnen en contact met andere vakantiegangers houdt, moet hier zeker heen gaan. Nog wat praktische zaken het zwembad is een klein stukje lopen. Alleen bij het zwembad is er WiFi en dan ook niet altijd even goed. De toegangsweg is steil en hobbelig en geschikt voor maximaal 1 auto per keer. Gelukkig geen ervaring gehad met een tegenligger.

Date of stay: July 2013mooie omgeving en de eigenaar was vriendelijk. het probleem met het warm water wat er niet meer was, was de volgende dag opgelost en er was een alternatief om te douche.

Date of stay: July 2012 - August 2012Positief: de mooie landelijke ligging vlak bij Florence en de vriendelijke beheerders. Negatief: Het gebouw omvat 4 appartementen, maar heeft slechts 3 terrassen. Hierdoor moesten wij samen met een buitenlandse familie van eenzelfde terras gebruik maken. Dit heeft een fors nadeel voor de eigen privacy. Door droogte in de streek was de waterdruk erg laag. Douchen was matig mogelijk. Een dag was er helemaal geen water. Het gebouw op de luchtfoto is niet het appartementengebouw maar de wijnboerderij die op het domein staat. Het zwembad ligt daar pal naast en zo'n 200 m van de appartementen die met een steil weggetje te bereiken zijn. Het is een bedrijf, dus wordt er gewerkt. 'sMorgens om 6 uur gingen ze aan de slag met landbouwmachines en motorzagen dat gaf op een aantal dagen flinke geluidsoverlast.

Date of stay: July 2011Dit huis is een echte aanrader, zowel voor mensen met jonge of wat oudere kinderen. Het zwembad is perfect evenals de ligging van het huis tussen de olijfbomen. Jammer genoeg konden we maar een week blijven maar we komen er zeker nog terug.
