Description

If you are looking for a place to relax and get in touch with nature, walk or cycle, visit small villages and medieval castles of the Chianti region, this is the place for you.

Apartment Sud is in a typical agriturismo. The apartment is situated on the first and second floors. The furniture is rustic with the typical Tuscan touch. The garden is not located at the entrance of this house, but 40 meters away, next to the forest. Next to the stairs to the apartment, you will find a veranda.
In the loggia, there is a working wood oven where you can make excellent pizzas or cook with old earthenware pans.

Come enjoy a spectacular view over the valley and the pool. The farm consists of a central house and five other buildings. The property features five hectares of garden, vineyard, olive and fruit trees. The farm produces high-quality olive oil, wine, vin santo, vinegar, fruit, jam and honey, which you can buy on-site.

The house is situated at 600m above sea level, on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain, which separates the valley of the Arno from the Casentino. The rustic house is located in a strategic position, 30 km from Florence and Arezzo, and 40 km from Siena. The house is about a five minute drive from Castelfranco di Sopra. It is the perfect place for those who are looking for peace and nature.

There is an electric charging station for electric cars.

Tips Owner

Lovely excursions are the cities of Arezzo, Anghiari, admire Bibbiena, Cortona, Poppi and Sansepolcro. A beautiful area with lots of nature and culture! Walks around Belvedere Right next to the loggia, by the gate to the court, you'll find a sign post with a rough scheme of nearby walks or hikes. From Belvedere, various trails will take you through our forests up to the Pratomagno peaks or downhill to our nearby village Pulicciano and further down to Castelfranco or Pian di Scò. Only the trails are man-made. The scenery you pass is untouched and wildly romantic nature. Barbecue and open fire Even though there are outdoor fire places at almost all our apartments, the use thereof during the summer months is strictly forbidden, owing to the high risk of forest fires. There is a barbecue grill on wheels, kept in the loggia and available for our guests. There is also a barbecue grill at the Casa Cipressi. Oil and wine Our fattoria offers you its own wine and, above all, our renowned first-class olive oil. At the reception loggia (between the big able and the little wall) you will find a little door. The key to it is hidden in the lantern hanging above the table (please always put the key back there for other guests to find it). In this little shed you'll find white and red wine, oil as well as vinegar and „Vin Santo“, a sweet desert wine very typical for our area. Please note down what you are consuming on the notepad prepared for you. Your account will be settled upon your departure. Note: We do not offer payment by credit card or bank card – cash only. At E-bike rental you can rent electric bikes, perfect for a trip to Pratomagno at about 1400 meters above sea level or in the Chianti area. The bikes can be delivered directly at the holiday home. Ask the owner for more information.

Geweldige plek. Bijzonder huis met veel historie. Adembenemend uitzicht. Beheerders heel vriendelijk en zorgzaam. Heel fijn om hier te verblijven. Enige nadeel waren de stekende muggen. Schijnt bij het jaargetijde te horen ( september)

Mooie authentieke locatie, prachtig uitzicht.

Prachtige oude boerderij! Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst.

We stayed in 'Sud', part of the original house, which dates back to the 13th century. From our windows and the terrace outside our house, there are the most amazing views across the Arno valley, although the drive up the winding road from Castelfranco is not for the faint-hearted. Inside, the rooms are full of old furniture, fittings and pictures, so if you want a taste of the old Italy, this place is for you. The house is at the end of a road (last bit dirt), so there is no passing traffic. The daily sound of the bee-eaters flying over, or the gentle buzz of the humming-bird hawk moths (day &amp night) are the only sounds to disturb. There is a small swimming pool which is great for cooling off in during the heat of the day it also has fantastic views across the valley. The host is very welcoming and will give you a tour of the ancient house at the drop of a hat. If you want to get to any of the city attractions (Florence, Siena etc.) they all involve a drive of an hour or more. There are several interesting villages and small towns much closer, especially if you are interested in churches and their associated art. This venue is definitely for people who want to 'get away from it all.'

Very warm welcome, Rita is fantastic. Because the house is situated on a hill, it's very quiet. Also it is less warm. Belvedere is an ideal place to visit Tuscany Siena, Florence, Arrezo, San Gimignano. You can buy wine, very fine olive oil and honey. And let's not forget the 'vin santo'! The Sud appartment is spacious and basic. For us (parents and 4 children) it was very good. After all, we spent all day outdoors. There you have a nice view over the valley. Nice pool. Tip visit Florence by train. There is an railway station in Figline, 20 minutes from Belvedere. We did that and were absolutely happy 30 minutes in the train, a ten minutes walk and you're standing in front of the Duomo!

Heerlijke tijd gehad.
