Corte in Poggio, only 50 km from Pisa, is a family-run farmhouse located in a strategic position for visiting the major Tuscan cities of art without giving up a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature.
The farmhouse is divided into 8 flats, arranged in two different cottages. The farmer's house with its particular "turret" can be seen immediately on arrival, going up the avenue surrounded by cypress trees and houses, in addition to the owners' house, two other restored flats. Beyond the threshing floor, a terrace in rustic terracotta, an ideal place for evenings in company and where the children can play, you can glimpse among the olive trees the other farmhouse, in an intense red brick colour surrounded by greenery, which houses the other flats.
Each flat has been tastefully furnished in a rustic Tuscan style, with exposed beams, a fully equipped kitchen and a private terrace/outdoor area with sun umbrella, table and garden chairs for dining out and relaxing in the open air. Immersed in the Tuscan countryside you can't pass up a sunset dinner, savouring the scent of roses and the pleasure of a good glass of wine.
The back terrace is perfect if you are looking for more privacy. But you can also choose to spread a blanket on the lawn next to the entrance and read a good book in the garden.
At guests' disposal there is a panoramic swimming pool with bubble bath and children's pool, a bocce court, a mini volleyball court, a children's playground, a barbecue and a wood-burning oven.

Tips Owner
This is a beautiful Farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside. surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, just 1km away from Stabbia center. It is a strategic point from where you can go on many trips as the area is very rich in things to see and do (from welfare to culture, entertainment) Nearby is Cerreto Guidi where you can visit the prestigious Villa Mediacea of 1500 and the picturesque town of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo. With about half an hour drive you can easily reach the main Tuscan cities like Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Certaldo and at about 70 km Siena and San Gimignano. A few kilometers away is Monsummano Terme with the Grotta Giusti where you can relax a day at the spa. For the little ones it will be a fantastic experience to visit the park dedicated to Pinocchio which is located in Collodi (ca. 25 km away). We also recommend you to see the Ceramics Museum in Montelupo where you can learn how the famous local ceramics are made. We also recommend many local restaurants and in the summer some "festivals" where tyou can taste the typical products of various locations such as San Miniato Truffle festival, very famous festival for the truffle connoisseurs. There are various seasons that are great in this region, not only during the summer, such as during the months of spring as the weather is always very good and the great cities of art that are nearby are not so crowded with tourists.

Date of stay: July 2014Aangenaam verblijf gehad! Eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en buitenaanzicht is er fantastisch mooi. De tuin met 3 zwembaden, waaronder 1 kinderzwembad, is een echte topper! Appartementje was net en ruim genoeg voor een gezin met 2 kleine kindjes, maar is vrij basic. Bij hele warme dagen wordt het er ook zeer warm binnen. Het dorpje op zich is niets bijzonders en men moet al een eindje rijden om leuke stadjes te kunnen bezoeken, waaronder bvb Lucca op 40min rijden, maar al bij al hebben we er een zeer leuke vakantie beleefd!
