The location facilitates reaching both airports (Pisa and Florence) in a 50 minutes drive travel via the road Florence-Pisa-Livorno. In addition to visiting Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, with more time available (but still with day trips) you can visit Arezzo, Moltepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza; famous places for wines like Brunello and Montepulciano and the typical cheese of the region. Nearby the house you can visit the cellars of old farms and castles where you can taste wines, sparkling wines and local products. The old local route Via Francigena, which in the Middle Ages connected Rome to Canterbury, is situated at a distance of 1 Km from the house and is easily explored on foot or horseback. Just a 15 minutes drive from here is the train station to reach Siena, Florence and Pisa, much better then going by car. Nearby you can also find a tennis court, golf course, riding stables for horseback riding, bike hire and minibus hire (8 people) with a guide. You can also book a rental bike in advance, there's taxi's (up to 9 people for small evening shifts) and on request a midweek housecleaning. A catering service is ready to delight you with typical Tuscan cuisine directly at home.

Date of stay: May 2018We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenares. Ze had van alles lekkers voor ons klaarstaan, waaronder huisgemaakte wijn en olijfolie. Het is een prima uitvalsbasis om de steden Lucca, Siena en Florence te bezoeken, maar ook de kleinere dorpjes zijn een bezoek waard.

We hebben gewoon genoten van de vakantie. Het was ook fijn dat er een winkeltje was waar de noodzakelijke produkten te vinden waren. De produkten die ze zelf op het erf waren mochten we gewoon nemen. Date of stay: April 2016 - May 2016De gastvrouw van deze woning is bijzonder gastvrij. Zij doet er alles aan om je welkom te voelen. Bij ontvangst lag een brood klaar en waren er een aantal basisartikelen. Ook het kleine winkeltje met een aantal basisproducten is heerlijk na een lange reis. Onze kinderen genoten van het zwembad, de jacuzzi en de vier honden die rondlopen op het terrein. Het huis ligt op goede reisafstand van een aantal sfeervolle plaatsen (San Gimignamo, Volterra) en in een uur ben je in het altijd mooie Firenze.

Date of stay: September 2015Het huis staat heerlijk achteraf, opeen berg. Het uitzicht is geweldig hierdoor. De eigenaren hebben een klein winkeltje aan huis, waar je koffie, melk, wijn, fris etc kunt kopen. Ook mag je producten van het land meenemen. Dit zijn aardappelen, knoflook, uien, eieren. Het huisje ligt op nog geen half uur van een mooie golfbaan. Zeker aan te raden voor golfliefhebbers. De eigenaren hebben een aantal dieren rondlopen. Allemaal zeer vriendelijk. Honden, katten, paarden, kippen, ganzen, hertje en schildpadden. Een super plek om tot rust te komen.
