Description

Lying next to the castle in one of the oldest annexes of the Castello di Montozzi estate is this tranquil house that is ideal for families. The erstwhile owner, Marquis Baldelli, had the castle fully restored and returned to its original glory after WW2. The stone mantelpieces, terracotta-tiled floors, tasteful furniture and large fireplaces all add to the authentic atmosphere.

Arezzo's Antiques Market opens every month's first Saturday and Sunday of the month. You can go wine tasting in the vicinity, and every Monday is organized a themed Tuscan dinner in the ancient stable of the castle. Reservations are required and a minimum of 8 people are allowed. You can enjoy hiking and bike outings in the 113 half of the property, which includes olive groves and woods.

Outside, the private garden adjacent to the house is a wonderful place to enjoy a Tuscan meal or enjoy the splendid views across the estate. Pets are welcome, owners should ensure that they do not disturb other guests.

Accomodatie is prachtig gelegen. Toegangsweg is slecht en lang niet goed voor een lage auto. Airco was in 1 ruimte aanwezig en niet in staat de woning te koelen, welke indruk wel werd gewekt in de advertentie. Slaapkamer boven was daarom bijzonder heet en slecht te koelen. Verhuurder zijn vriendelijk en praktisch, omgeving is prachtig. Zwembad is verzorgd en erg goed gelegen. Per saldo een aangename vakantie gehad.

Zeer mooi uitzicht en charmant verblijf. De afmetingen van het zwembad zijn wel niet correct, geen 12x6m maar ongeveer de helft... WiFi is er helemaal niet.

Prachtige locatie en magnifiek uitzicht over het Toscaanse landschap. Net alles gerenoveerd en nieuw. Beetje stoer auto wel gewenst om boven bij het castello te komen. Goede uitvalsbasis voor stedentrips naar Siena, Arazzo, San Gimiguano en verder.
