Perched on the rocks overhanging the sea in Rio, this is a 2-bedroom holiday home for a family or group of 4 persons. The holiday home has a private terrace to relax and unwind after having a long day.
Rio is a tiny village in the green valley of Val di Vara, with a varied terrain of bays, beaches and cliffs. At 3 km from home, you will find the nearest pizzerias, restaurants, supermarkets and the lovely town centre. If you fancy a day relaxing by the sea, you need to drive 25 km. You can reach the fishing villages like Lerici, San Terenzo and Tellaro easily. Furthermore, you can explore Sestri Levante, the city of the two seas, with its picturesque bay of silence and alleys with nice little shops.
The holiday home has central heating and an oven in the kitchen to bake cakes or pizzas as per wish. You can enjoy watching movies together on the TV before retiring to bed. 3 pets can join you on holiday. Parking is available.
Genoa airport is 90 km away.

The house is located in Rio, a small village nestled in the green valley of Val di Vara, a few kilometers from the Cinque Terre; five villages perched on the rock overhanging the sea with bays and beaches between cliffs, we not only offer sea trails in the hills or to walk the famous Way of Love. Portovenere = history and sea in one word, we can admire the church of San Pietro, the church of San Lorenzo Doria castle and within a few minutes by boat you can reach the island of Palmaria. Also in the Riviera di Levante you can reach fisherman's villages like Lerici, San Terenzo and Tellaro. If we move in the Riviera del Tigullio to Sestri Levante we find that the city of the two seas, with its picturesque bay of silence, an alley with great shopping. Take the boat from Sestri Levante and you can reach Portofino one of the most picturesque villages of the world. In the city of Genoa Maritime Republic famous for its history, you'll visit the most spectacular aquarium where you can observe countless species of fish from the seas around the world. Returning in the Ligurian hinterland you can visit the town of Varese Ligure, the village that grows all around its imposing castle of the Fieschi. Brugnato is another municipality of Val di Vara important for its historical Bishop's Palace, but also you could spend some money in the newly built Outlet The mall that houses more than seventy fashion brands. Our valley offers not only beautiful landscapes but we can delight our palate with good food based on fish and meat accompanied by good local wine .... We are waiting for you !!!!!

Date of stay: July 2019Wij waren wat verlaat maar dat maakte niet uit zei de eigenaresse, stond nog om half 10 voor ons klaar om ons een rondleiding te geven! Echt alles zit er in wat je nodig hebt en nog Zoveel meer! , gezellig dorpje midden in de bergen voor ons echt een must! Het dorp ligt 3 minuten rijden met de auto verwijderd waar je een supermarkt, restaurant, postagentschap, cafeetje enz. Hebt. Wel is aan te raden om met de auto te komen of een auto te huren! Fietsend en lopend is het heel zwaar. Het was geweldig de mensen die bij het huisje in de buurt wonen zijn onwijs vriendelijk! Leuke mensen , geweldig oude klok die vanaf 0700 sochtends afgaat tot savonds 0000 . Als je vroeg opstaan geen probleem vind is dit echt een hele leuke en fijne locatie! Wij waren met onze zoon van 5 jaar! En onze hond was ook gezellig mee wat geen probleem was hier! Superbedankt voor uw gastvrijheid wij hebben genoten, vonden het jammer om weer te gaan, we komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Date of stay: April 2018 - May 2018Wat een warm welkom? We voelden ons gelijk thuis we kwamen veel te vroeg aan maar dat was gelijk helemaal geen probleem. We konden er gelijk in en ze vertelde over de mooie plaatsjes om naar te gaan. Fijne tips gekregen. Huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer schoon. Een dikke 10 Groetjes uit Giethoorn

Date of stay: August 2016Nice and spacious flat, very clean. Friendly owner family. Quiet (except the church bells) location in the mountains . A bit remote, therefore car necessary (beaches and towns/villages >30-100Km). Flat is suitable for children but need to be a bit older (>4-5 years).
