Corte in Poggio is a family-run farmhouse located in a strategic position for visiting the major Tuscan cities of art without sacrificing a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature.
The farmhouse is divided into 8 flats, arranged in two different cottages. The farmer's house with its particular "turret" can be seen immediately on arrival, going up the avenue surrounded by cypress trees and houses, in addition to the owners' house, two other restored flats. Beyond the threshing floor, a terrace in rustic terracotta, an ideal place for evenings in company and where the children can play, you can glimpse among the olive trees the other farmhouse, in an intense red brick colour surrounded by greenery, which houses the other flats.
Each flat has been tastefully furnished in a rustic Tuscan style, with exposed beams, a fully equipped kitchen and a private terrace/outdoor area with sun umbrella, table and garden chairs for dining out and relaxing in the open air. Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, you can't miss a dinner at sunset, enjoying the scent of roses and the pleasure of a good glass of wine.
At guests' disposal there is a panoramic swimming pool with hydromassage and children's pool, a bowling green, a mini volleyball court, a children's playground, a barbecue and a wood-burning oven.

This is a beautiful Farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside. surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, just 1km away from Stabbia center. It is a strategic point from where you can go on many trips as the area is very rich in things to see and do (from welfare to culture, entertainment) Nearby is Cerreto Guidi where you can visit the prestigious Villa Mediacea of 1500 and the picturesque town of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo. With about half an hour drive you can easily reach the main Tuscan cities like Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Certaldo and at about 70 km Siena and San Gimignano. A few kilometers away is Monsummano Terme with the Grotta Giusti where you can relax a day at the spa. For the little ones it will be a fantastic experience to visit the park dedicated to Pinocchio which is located in Collodi (ca. 25 km away). We also recommend you to see the Ceramics Museum in Montelupo where you can learn how the famous local ceramics are made. We also recommend many local restaurants and in the summer some "festivals" where tyou can taste the typical products of various locations such as San Miniato Truffle festival, very famous festival for the truffle connoisseurs. There are various seasons that are great in this region, not only during the summer, such as during the months of spring as the weather is always very good and the great cities of art that are nearby are not so crowded with tourists.

We hebben nog zoveel niet kunnen doen ...We hebben vooral genoten van de mooie omgeving van het huis , het zwembad en vooral de ontzettend hartelijke ontvangst van de eigenaars. De dochter praat goed Engels en geeft veel informatie die je als gast op maat krijgt aangebracht.Een prachtige wijngaard met heerlijke wijn van het huis !

Date of stay: September 2012Half september een weekje hier verbleven. Heerlijke locatie. Appartementen netjes, landgoed erg mooi en goed bijgehouden. Eigenaren zijn ontzettend lieve mensen waar je altijd terecht kunt. Gunnen de gasten rust en een vakantie zoals zij die willen. Zwembad was hartstikke netjes en schoon. Lekkere ligstoelen en fantastisch uitzicht. Voor kindjes allemaal schommels, fietsjes, een wip en ga zo maar door. Een locatie waar wij zo nog weer eens terug zouden gaan, zeker ook omdat je heel centraal zit t.o.v. Pisa, Siena, Lucca en Firenze. Wij zijn zelfs met de trein naar Firenze geweest omdat de verbinding helemaal top is. Kan niet anders zeggen dan dat dit een hele fijne vakantie bestemming is.
