A charming location in a quiet neighborhood. The panoramic view of the mountains from here is breathtaking. Szklarska Poręba is a town located at an altitude of 440-886 m above sea level. on the border of the Karkonosze and Jizera Mountains at the foot of Szrenica (1,361 m above sea level). Szklarska Poręba is a winter sports center with a well-developed network of ski lifts, ski slopes and cross-country trails.
The comfortable, spacious apartment provides comfortable accommodation for up to 5 people. It is located on the second floor of a modern apartment complex (there is an elevator, indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym). It has a balcony with a soothing view of the forest. The apartment consists of a living room connected to a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a wide double bed and a bathroom with a shower (there is a washing machine). The living room has a 2-seater sofa, a 1-seater armchair, a table with chairs and a TV (with Internet). There is also a TV in the bedroom. Wireless internet is available. Central heating. Attractions in the area:
The area is ideal for various forms of active recreation, including skiing, hiking and cycling. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city center. Directly from the building there is a trail through the forest that leads to Zakręt Śmierci (950 m), and then you can go to Czarny Kamień (1.5 km). Not far away there is the Dinosaur Park (1.3 km) - an undoubted attraction for the youngest. Approximately 1.3 km to the Jizera cable car station. It is a great place for a trip to the Czech Republic.
Szklarska Poręba is primarily mountains, mountain hikes, and in winter a winter sports center (SKI Arena Szrenica ski complex). Szrenica – a peak with a height of 1,362 m above sea level, accessed by a cable car. At the top there is the "Szrenica" mountain shelter. On the slope of Szrenica, it is worth seeing the original rock groups: Trzy Świnki, Twarożnik and Końskie Łby.
The Szklarki Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains, whose cascade reaches a height of 13.3 m. The stream falls in a wide stream narrowing at the bottom. There is a small shelter next to the waterfall called "Kochanówka". There is a bar inside.
It is worth going to nearby Karpacz and trying to climb Śnieżka - the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains (1602 m above sea level).
Julia Glassworks is a place where history, the beauty of glass masterpieces and the manual production process intertwine. During a guided tour, you can see the crystal production process in a working steelworks. There is a factory store next door.
The "Trollandia" rope park is located in the city center. It is a high-rise system of platforms and rope obstacles installed in trees. A safety system is installed in the park - 100% safety. The participant is attached to the safety rope at the beginning of the route, freely overcomes obstacles without having to reconnect, and only at the end of the route is he released from the rope by the instructor. The facility is also open in winter.
The Jizera Railway runs through the Jizera Mountains and the Karkonosze Mountains. It connects Jelenia Góra, Cieplice, Szklarska Poręba, Jakuszyce and Czech Harrachov. You can admire mountain landscapes from the train windows, especially since - due to the winding and steep route - the train travels slowly. You can buy the ticket directly in the carriage.
