This well-equipped cottage in São Luís (Odemira) is set in a private property of 30 hectares and was originally a wine cellar. With 1 bedroom, it is ideal for a small family and features a private pool and terrace.You can relax here, while being only 1.5 km from the town centre, forest, supermarket and all necessary facilities. For the active ones, cross country is just 1 km away. Public pool is 13 km away. Enjoy relaxing by the beachside just 22 km away, while lakeside activities can be enjoyed at 25 km.The child-friendly property features a terrace, garden and barbecue for a holiday full of relaxation and enjoyment. Tips Owner

The place (Casa da Adega) is not served with telephone lines, but most of the time indoors and outdoors a mobile phone can be used. Close to the house there is a small tank which used to serve in old times as a water reservoir for irrigation of the meadow, and that suits today as a recreation tank. The water is drinkable, comes straight from the bore hole, with no filters, and its allways renovating it self. In summer time, the mosquitoes 'attack' generally early in the morning, and also in the evening before dark. In winter time can be very cold in the morning because of the frost, but becomes normal again as the hours go by. The roads that lead to Casa da Adega, are country roads (earth roads), so city cars should drive slowly. From 'Casa da Adega' one can go to the River Mira (15 minutes walk) and take a swim there, or have a 20 minutes drive to the closest Dam 'Barragem de Campilhas', where, among other things, it is possible to practice water skiing. The other closest Dam is 'Barragem de Sta Clara', 55km distant from Casa da Adega. The Touristic Village by the sea, Vila Nova de Milfontes, along with all the wonderfull beaches, distant 22km from Casa da Adega. Cross country can be made, right from Casa da Adega and there are also two bycicles available. Breakfasts are not served in Casa da Adega, but a welcoming kit will be provided on the day of the arrival and for the first impact with the house and with the place, together with general information about the near by services, like restaurants, supermarkets, places to visit, etc.

Die Ankunft war nicht so schön, da wir es nicht gefunden haben und nur durch Hilfe eines Nachbarn und später der Besitzerin zur Unterkunft kamen. Es war bereits dunkel und das Haus liegt so abgelegen, dass unser Navi aufgab. Die Unterkunft ist sehr individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Allerdings war das Schlafen auf dem Sofa sehr unbequem und die Dusche konnte nur entweder ganz heiß oder kalt eingestellt werden. Dies sind aber die einzigen Kritikpunkte. Alles andere war sehr schön, die Besitzerin sehr nett und kümmerte sich sehr herzlich um uns. Die Umgebung ist absolut toll.

Wer es sehr abgeschieden mag, ist hier richtig: totale Ruhe, großzügig geschnittenes Haus, das liebevoll eingerichtet ist. Trotz der Abgeschiedenheit kann man gut den Südwesten erkunden, zumal die Verwalterin tolle Tipps gibt.

Zeer leuk huisje, erg landelijk en in het bos gelegen dus als je graag in de natuur zit en van rust houdt zit je goed! Wij hebben heel erg genoten van de omgeving en de afwezigheid van andere toeristen. Het huisje is alleen bereikbaar via een grintweg en je hebt echt een auto nodig als je iets wilt doen. De dichtst bijzijnde grotere plaats is Odemira en dat is een half uur rijden. Het dichtst bijzijnde café is 5 minuten rijden over de grintweg of 25 minuten lopen. Het gebied is niet heel toeristisch (met uitzondering van kust: o.a. Vila Nova de Milfontes). Je kunt er erg mooi wandelen en fietsen maar er zijn niet veel routes aangegeven. De huiseigenaar is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en altijd bereikbaar voor vragen. Bij aankomst stond er zelfs een pakket met de eerste boodschappen voor ons klaar!
