This comfortable holiday home in Tautavel offers you a very quiet and charming two-bedroom flat, half an hour from the beaches of Le Barcarès or Canet-en-Roussillon, 30 minutes from Perpignan and 1 hour from Narbonne. You'll enjoy a huge garden planted with trees (to be shared with other holidaymakers). The private barbecue guarantees pleasant evenings and the well-equipped kitchen gives you the opportunity to prepare your favourite dishes.
Built over two floors, this charming gîte has a downstairs kitchen/living room, two upstairs bedrooms, WC and shower room. It has a wood-burning stove and electric heating. You will enjoy a huge garden planted with trees (to be shared with other holidaymakers). The garden furniture with private barbecue guarantees pleasant evenings and the well-equipped kitchen gives you the opportunity to prepare your favourite dishes.
The property is very quietly situated and is ideal for cycling and hiking.
Tautavel is a beautiful village in the north-east of the Pyrénées-Orientales, a little out of the way, at the bottom of a narrow valley.
Yet it is world-famous for being the place where the oldest European in history was found. As a result, there is a large archaeological museum on site, as well as a cave, and at the very top, a castle and the Torre del Far, "the sentinel of Roussillon".
Stroll through the narrow streets and relax in the shade of the plane trees. Further on, don't miss a visit to the narrow Gorges de Gouleyrous, impressive for the grey colour of the rocks and their rounded shapes, carved out by the current. There is a paying car park and a refreshment bar, but you can still lie down on the pebbles to enjoy the coolness of the transparent water.
Castles, belvederes, priories, medieval villages and gorges abound here, and why not take the Cerdagne Yellow Train, visit the Sigean Animal Reserve, or spend a pleasant moment at the thermal baths in Amélie les Bains or Le Boulou?
It's hard to get bored in this region, despite the peace and quiet offered by this beautiful holiday home!

Date of stay: December 2022 - January 2023Eine renovierte und rustikale Ferienhaushälfte inmitten einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Von der Unterkunft gehen in jede Richtung hervorragende Wanderwege ab, über die sich auch unsere beiden Hunde gefreut haben. Die Räume waren gut beheizbar, womit der Aufenthalt auch mitten im Winter bei lauwarmen Außentemperaturen sehr angenehm war. Mit dem Auto sind innerhalb von 15 Minuten mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants erreichbar. Dankeschön an die Besitzer, dass sie uns zu diesen so ausführlich beraten haben! Von Ihrem Weingut "Domaine des Schistes" werden wir auch in Zukunft Ihren tollen Wein kaufen.

Date of stay: July 2022Ons verblijf in dit huis is bijzonder goed bevallen. De ontvangst was heel hartelijk, dat is altijd fijn is. De foto's geven denk ik een goede indruk, want de locatie was eigenlijk precies zo als we hem ons voorstelden. Een prachtige plek, in een bijzonder rustige omgeving. Je kan hier echt tot rust komen. Wij verbleven er in een erg warme periode. Maar er is genoeg verkoeling te vinden vlak in de buurt. Keuze uit drie prachtige gorges, op een half uurtje rijden elk, waar je heerlijk kan zwemmen. De zee is een uurtje rijden. We hebben een mooi honden strand gevonden aangezien onze viervoeter mee was op reis. De beheerders brachten nog ventilatoren voor de warmte in de nacht, waar we heel blij mee waren. Het huis is compleet ingericht, maar natuurlijk mis je altijd wel iets. Geen probleem want dit huis heeft wat ons betreft een zeer goed prijs/kwaliteit verhouding!
